Imon Phukan

Imon Phukan a textile cum painter artist, 2000 (b) from hills of Assam Guwahati. She completed her Bachelors in painting from renowed Maharaja Sayajirao University Baroda, Gujarat, where she learned Indian miniature art from Master artist in Miniature paintings Ajay Sharma, which she later used in her expressionist mix medium paintings and handstitched textile installations.

she is currently working and residing in London after completing her masters from Royal College of Art London from Sculpture.

​

Her constant travelling around her home country and now in London, informs and influences the choice of her materials in her works.
